One e-commerce accountant for every sales channel

Every platform has its own money flows, fees and VAT rules. As e-commerce accountants and bookkeepers we set up your administration per channel — with API integrations, settlement reconciliation and inventory management that adds up.

Shopify webshops

Shopify payouts via Shopify Payments, Mollie or Klarna rarely match your revenue one-to-one. We connect your shop via the API, reconcile every payout with your bank and automatically process transaction fees, refunds and gift cards. Your VAT return is accurate to the cent.

bol.com

bol.com sellers

bol deducts commission (8–17%), shipping and advertising costs directly from your payout — what lands in your bank account is never your revenue. We import the statements, split revenue, fees and VAT per settlement and reconcile everything with your bank statement. Inventory under Logistics via bol (LVB) is also processed correctly in your inventory administration.

Amazon sellers

Amazon settlements bundle sales, FBA fees, advertising costs and returns into one bi-weekly payout — often across multiple countries. We split every settlement by country and cost type and monitor your VAT obligations under pan-European FBA, so foreign VAT registrations never take you by surprise.

Multi-channel sellers

If you sell through your own webshop as well as marketplaces, inventory, returns and VAT quickly get tangled. We consolidate all channels into one administration: reconciled per platform, inventory valued centrally and one clear monthly overview. You see exactly which channel makes margin — and which one only generates revenue.

Selling in multiple EU countries?

Above the €10,000 annual threshold for sales to consumers in other EU countries, you owe VAT in your customer's country. Through the One Stop Shop (OSS) you handle this with a single quarterly return filed from the Netherlands. We take care of the OSS registration with the Dutch tax authorities and every quarterly filing — you don't have to track anything per country.

E-commerce challenges we solve

  • Multi-channel sales reconciliation
  • Payment provider reconciliation
  • Returns and refund processing
  • Dropshipping administration

Frequently asked questions about e-commerce bookkeeping

Which e-commerce platforms does Wetaxus support?

We support all major platforms including Shopify, WooCommerce, Bol.com, Amazon, Magento, PrestaShop, Lightspeed and Etsy. We automatically connect your sales data with your bookkeeping for real-time insights.

How does VAT work when selling to customers in other EU countries?

When you sell more than €10,000 per year to consumers in other EU countries, you must charge the VAT of the customer's country. Through the One Stop Shop (OSS) scheme, you can handle this via a single return in the Netherlands. Wetaxus manages the complete OSS registration and filing.

How do I process returns and refunds in my bookkeeping?

Returns and refunds are automatically processed through the platform integration. We correct the revenue, VAT and any inventory adjustments. With our Pro and Enterprise packages, comprehensive returns and refund processing is included as standard.

Is dropshipping bookkeeping different from regular e-commerce?

Yes, with dropshipping you only purchase products after an order is placed, which requires different accounting treatment. Additionally, import VAT and potential customs duties play a role for deliveries from outside the EU. Wetaxus has extensive experience with dropshipping administrations.

What does a bookkeeper cost for my webshop?

Our e-commerce packages start from €249 per month for the Starter package (50 purchase invoices). The Pro package costs €399 per month including multi-channel integration and EU VAT, and the Enterprise package €699 per month for large webshops with international sales.

How does the OSS scheme work for my webshop?

The One Stop Shop (OSS) scheme is mandatory when you sell more than €10,000 per year to consumers in other EU countries. Through OSS you file one VAT return in the Netherlands for all your EU sales, instead of in each country separately. Wetaxus handles the complete OSS registration and quarterly returns.

How do I process Bol.com commissions and advertising costs?

Bol.com charges commissions (8-17%), advertising costs and logistics fees. These are automatically offset against your sales proceeds. We reconcile your Bol.com statements with your bank statements and book all costs correctly as business expenses.

What if I sell via Amazon FBA in multiple EU countries?

With Amazon FBA pan-European fulfilment, Amazon moves your inventory to warehouses in other countries. This can trigger VAT registration obligations in those countries. Our Enterprise package includes international VAT registration and compliance for every country you sell in.

How do I handle returns with multi-channel sales?

Returns must be processed correctly per sales channel: revenue correction, VAT correction and inventory adjustment. With multiple channels this quickly becomes complex. Our platform integrations process returns and refunds automatically, so your administration is always accurate.

When should I upgrade from Starter to Pro or Enterprise?

Upgrade to Pro when you sell in multiple EU countries (OSS required) or have more than 50 purchase invoices per month. Enterprise is suitable for 250+ invoices, sales outside the EU (customs handling) or when you need a dedicated account manager.
